Why is it Called Fotona4D®?
Fotona4D®: 4 Steps to Treat 4 Skin Depths
Step 1 of Fotona4D® starts inside the mouth, where a proprietary laser technology allows for treating from the inside out in the perioral region. This step reduces expression lines like the nasolabial folds (“laugh lines”) and wrinkles around the mouth. This laser technology is patented by Fotona and is not available in other cosmetic lasers
In step 2 of Fotona4D®, deeper imperfections like deep lines and pigments are precisely targeted to restore youthful texture and more uniform overall complexion.
In step three of Fotona4D®, another proprietary laser technology is used to safely and rapidly apply heating to create an overall tightening effect, resulting in more firm and lifted skin. This again is a patented laser technology, exclusive to Fotona and not available in other cosmetic lasers
In the final step of Fotona4D®, a laser peel is done to improve the appearance of the skin and address more superficial imperfections such as fine lines, discolorations and sun damage. The depth of the peel can be adjusted depending on what is necessary for skin that looks refreshed, tighter, and with youthful glow!

Fotona4D® is a series of synergistic, non-invasive laser treatments of both the exterior facial and interior oral cavity, enabling full-thickness contraction of collagen for persistent tightening and volumization without injectables. With two laser wavelengths and 4 treatment modes, anti-aging is comprehensively approached from 4 different levels, working on deeper, medial and superficial connective structures of the skin, as well as targeting imperfections.
Results will vary with every individual with the Fotona4D® treatment, but most patients notice some results immediately, with the full effect taking place gradually over a period of 2-3 months. If you elect to have a more aggressive treatment, you may experience a day or two or redness.
Everyone is different, but typically during the Fotona4D® treatment there is a gradual warming sensation, and after a few minutes you may experience some very brief hot sensations in the treatment area, which dissipate quickly
